Healthcare stocks rose Thursday afternoon, with the NYSE Healthcare Index increasing 0.3% and the State Street Health Care Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLV) adding 0.5%.
The iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB) was up 0.6%.
In corporate news, Eli Lilly (LLY) shares rose 2.3% after it said Thursday its investigational triple hormone receptor agonist retatrutide delivered "clinically meaningful" weight loss in a phase 3 obesity trial, where all doses met the primary and key secondary endpoints at 80 weeks.
