Financial stocks were falling premarket Tuesday, with the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) declining by 0.7%.
The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was down 1.8% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 1.9% higher.
Fifth Third Bancorp (FITB) has completed the technical conversion of about 600,000 Comerica customers' accounts and 293 banking centers over the Labor Day weekend, completing Comerica's integration, the company said. Fifth Third Bancorp shares were down more than 1% pre-bell.
Orix (IX) shares were down more than 1% after the company said it has agreed to acquire construction machinery trading company Taihei Trading and its affiliates.
Circle Internet (CRCL) stock was down more than 1% after the company said it has agreed to acquire Singapore-based B2B cross-border payments firm Tazapay.
