Financial stocks were edging higher pre-bell Thursday, with the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) advancing by 0.2%.
The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was up 0.6% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 0.4% lower.
Blackstone (BX) said it launched its Blackstone Private Markets Fund, or BXPM, a perpetual flagship strategy that gives eligible non-US investors access to its private-markets platform through a single allocation. Shares of Blackstone were down more than 1% premarket.
Bank of America (BAC) said it plans to hire 1,000 additional apprentices over two years and invest $150 million over five years in US workforce development organizations. Bank of America stock was 0.2% higher pre-bell.
Morgan Stanley (MS) is working on damage control after a list of deals that it has been monitoring or working on was accidentally leaked, Bloomberg reported, citing a copy of the list and sources familiar with the matter. Morgan Stanley shares were 0.2% lower premarket.
