Brookfield (BN) is seeking a loan of 750 million Australian dollars ($525.1 million) to fund a payout to investors of La Trobe Financial and refinance existing debt, Bloomberg reported, citing unnamed people familiar with the matter. Brookfield shares were 1% higher pre-bell.
Carlyle Group (CG) is working with its portfolio managers to proactively evaluate and then possibly de-risk assets from weather-related damage, Bloomberg reported. Carlyle Group stock was up more than 3% premarket.
