Financial stocks were advancing premarket Wednesday, with the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) marginally higher.
The Direxion Daily Financial Bull 3X Shares (FAS) was up 0.1% and its bearish counterpart Direxion Daily Financial Bear 3X Shares (FAZ) was 0.4% lower.
Huntington Bancshares (HBAN) revised its adjusted 2027 earnings-per-share target range to $1.75 to $1.83, reflecting lower-than-expected loan growth and net interest margins, the company said in a presentation. Huntington Bancshares stock was down more than 1% pre-bell.
Goldman Sachs' (GS) asset management alternatives unit has raised $11.7 billion across its newest private equity funds and other vehicles, the company said. Shares of Goldman Sachs were 0.5% higher premarket.
JPMorgan Chase (JPM) expects Q3 investment banking fees and markets revenue to be up "mid- to high-teens," driven by broad-based strength, co-President Doug Petno said. JPMorgan Chase stock was down 0.2% pre-bell.
