Financial stocks were advancing in Wednesday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index and the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) each adding 0.8%.
The Philadelphia Housing Index was climbing 1%, and the State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLRE) was shedding 0.7%.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was declining 0.4% to $77,105, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was slightly lower at 4.792%.
In corporate news, KKR (KKR) has agreed to buy residential garage door repair and replacement company A1 Garage Door Service for about $2 billion, Reuters reported. Phoenix, Arizona-based A1 Garage was founded in 2007 and operates in around 20 states, the report said. KKR shares rose 0.4%.
