Financial stocks advanced in late Friday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index and the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) each adding about 0.5%.
The Philadelphia Housing Index was up 0.7%, and the State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLRE) was decreasing 0.3%.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was falling 3.3% to $77,629, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries was rising 4.8 basis points to 4.72%.
In corporate news, Klarna (KLAR) shares rose 1.9% in Friday trading after a $9.95 million share purchase by CEO Sebastian Siemiatkowski. Through an associated entity, Siemiatkowski bought 692,506 shares on Wednesday, the company said Friday in a statement.
