Financial stocks were lower in late Wednesday afternoon trading, with the NYSE Financial Index and the State Street Financial Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLF) each shedding about 0.5%.
The Philadelphia Housing Index rose 0.6%, and the State Street Real Estate Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLRE) decreased 0.4%.
Bitcoin (BTC-USD) was declining 1.2% to $65,726, and the yield for 10-year US Treasuries rose 2.9 basis points to 4.657%.
In corporate news, Morgan Stanley (MS) is working on a collateralized fund obligation for Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners in a transaction worth around $1 billion, Bloomberg reported. Morgan Stanley shares rose 0.8%.
