Energy stocks were advancing premarket Monday, with The State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) up 1.2%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was up 3.1% and The United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 3.9% higher.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 1.7% higher at $79.53 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil rose 1.8% to $85.03 per barrel, and natural gas futures were up 4.2% at $2.77 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
National Energy Services Reunited (NESR) stock was up more than 7% after the company posted higher Q2 adjusted earnings and revenue.
Seadrill (SDRL) shares were up over 7% after the company reported that it swung to Q2 earnings as operating revenue increased during the period and Seadrill raised its 2026 sales outlook.
Eni (E) and United Arab Emirates-based Khazna Data Center have received approval from the European Commission to create a joint venture focused on the construction, management and operation of data centers, the Commission said. Shares of Eni were 0.9% higher pre-bell.
