Energy stocks were advancing premarket Monday, with the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) up 1%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was up 3% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 3.6% higher.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 2% higher at $79.75 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil rose 1.9% to $85.17 per barrel, and natural gas futures were up 3.5% at $2.75 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
National Energy Services Reunited (NESR) stock was up more than 7% after the company posted higher Q2 adjusted earnings and revenue.
