The United States Oil Fund (USO) was down 2.8% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 0.4% higher.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 1.3% lower at $105.48 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil fell 3.2% to $114.28 per barrel, and natural gas futures were down 0.1% at $2.64 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
ConocoPhillips (COP) shares were down more than 2% after the company posted lower Q1 adjusted earnings and revenue.
