Consumer stocks were mixed premarket Friday, with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) 1.2% higher and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) down 0.5%.
Autoliv (ALV) stock was down more than 5% after the company reported Q2 adjusted earnings that missed analysts' expectations.
Yum! Brands-owned (YUM) Taco Bell restaurants in five states are reportedly causing a Cyclospora outbreak through shredded iceberg lettuce from Mexico, the US Food and Drug Administration said. Yum! Brands shares were 0.2% higher pre-bell.
