Consumer stocks were lower premarket Friday, with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) down 0.5% and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) down 0.1%.
On Holding (ONON) stock was up 4.7% after Bloomberg reported that the company has partnered with football star Kylian Mbappe to develop football products and represent the brand as the Swiss sportswear company expands into the sport.
CAVA (CAVA) shares were up more than 2% after the company said its board authorized a share repurchase program of up to $100 million of its outstanding common.
Yum! Brands' (YUM) Pizza Hut is planning to fund its $1.5 billion buyout through a sale of bonds backed by restaurant franchise fees, Bloomberg News reported, citing people with knowledge of the matter. Yum! Brand's shares were 0.4% lower pre-bell.
