Consumer stocks fell late Tuesday afternoon with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) decreasing 0.7% and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) declining 1.8%.
In corporate news, DoorDash (DASH) and food technology platform Wonder said Tuesday they are launching a strategic partnership. Under the agreement, DoorDash will buy Wonder's Grubhub Campus Dining business for $300 million and has made a $125 million investment in Wonder as part of the company's Series D round, the companies said. DoorDash shares were down 2.3%.
