Consumer stocks were edging higher late Friday afternoon, with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) fractionally up and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) rising 1.6%.
In corporate news, Rockstar Energy founder Russ Savage now holds over 12 million shares of Celsius (CELH), or about 4.7% of the company, and he said the company's chief executive and chief operating officer "need to be fired," CNBC reported Friday, citing an interview with Savage. Celsius shares jumped 14%.
