Consumer stocks were edging higher pre-bell Friday, with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) up 0.1% and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) marginally advancing.
AutoZone (AZO) stock was up more than 1% after the company said it agreed to issue $850 million of 4.95% notes due July 15, 2031 and that the underwriting group will buy the debt securities at about 99.31% of the principal amount.
