Consumer stocks were mixed pre-bell Monday, with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) 0.2% lower and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) up 1.5%.
Amazon.com (AMZN) shares were 2% higher after the company said it has completed the issuance of approximately 13.97 billion Canadian dollars ($9.99 billion) in aggregate notes across multiple maturities as part of a registered debt offering.
