Consumer stocks fell Monday afternoon with the State Street Consumer Staples Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLP) declining 1.2% and the State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLY) dropping 0.7%.
In corporate news, Walt Disney's (DIS) ABC network has been the victim of "sustained, coordinated" censorship by the Trump administration, Federal Communications Commissioner Anna Gomez said in a letter to Disney CEO Josh D'Amaro, the Wall Street Journal reported. Disney shares fell 3%.
