Scotland-based Haventus and China's Dajin have signed a memorandum of understanding, according to which they will jointly seek opportunities in UK and European offshore wind, Haventus said in a statement on Friday.
The tie-up will unite Dajin's manufacturing and transport capabilities with Haventus-owned Ardersier's port infrastructure in Scotland to offer an integrated supply chain solution to offshore wind developers working in fixed and floating projects.
The companies will also seek new commercial opportunities and explore how Ardersier Port can support Dajin and its customers with storage, marshalling, assembly and transportation before equipment is transported to offshore locations.
The Ardersier port has available land, deep-water access and a high-voltage power connection and was developed for the purpose of supporting manufacture, assembly and storage of large offshore wind equipment, the statement said.
