Saturn Metals (ASX:STN) said the mineral resource estimate for its Apollo Hill gold project in Western Australia now stands at 174 million tonnes at 0.5 grams per tonne grade of gold for about 2.8 million ounces, up 26% from the previous estimate of 2.2 million ounces, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
The updated mineral resource follows the completion of a 367-hole extensional and in-fill drilling program, and will underpin a definitive feasibility study planned for this year, per the filing.
The company said "substantial growth potential" remains at the project, with the mineralization continuing to be open in several directions and drilling still targeting near-surface and lateral extensions.
