Santos (ASX:STO) entered into a 10-year gas sale agreement with the South Australian Government to supply 200 petajoules of gas to the South Australian strategic gas reserve from 2030 to 2040, according to an Australian bourse filing on Monday after market hours.
Under the agreement, the company will deliver 20 petajoules of gas annually, delivered ex-Moomba, with indexed pricing and a prepayment structure that will help fund its Moomba Central Optimization project, per the filing.
First gas is planned for March 1, 2030, aligning with the expiration of the company's Horizon contract with the GLNG joint venture, the filing said.
