Santos Says Northern Territory Appraisal Well Spudded

Santos (ASX:STO) said its first appraisal well in the Beetaloo Basin in the Northern Territory was spudded, according to a Tuesday statement.

The drill bit broke ground on Sept. 4 after contractor Exact Contracting completed the construction of the well pad, access tracks, and key road intersection upgrades.

The firm's shares were up 1% in recent trading on Tuesday.
