Santana Minerals (ASX:SMI, NZE:SMI) is set to be included in the VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF, effective at the close of trading on Friday, as part of VanEck's semi-annual index review and rebalance, according to filings with the Australian and New Zealand bourses on Thursday.

VanEck Junior Gold Miners ETF is an exchange-traded fund that provides exposure to small and mid-capitalization companies involved primarily in gold and silver mining and development.

Its shares fell nearly 1% in early trading on both the Australian and New Zealand bourses.
