Samvardhana Motherson Commissions 15 MWp Solar Project in India; Shares Slip 3%

Samvardhana Motherson International (NSE:MOTHERSON, BOM:517334) energy arm Motherson New Energy commissioned a 15 megawatt-peak ground-mounted captive solar power plant in Mahoba, Uttar Pradesh, India, through its subsidiary Onega Solar.

The facility will supply electricity to multiple Motherson manufacturing plants in the state under a group captive arrangement, according to a Monday filing on Indian bourses.

Motherson developed the project with ib vogt, which supported land acquisition, regulatory approvals, design and EPC execution.

Shares of the company fell over 3% in recent trade.
