Samsung Securities (KRX:016360) plans to borrow domestic equity securities, including stocks and listed index investment trusts, from its affiliate, Samsung Asset Management.
The 20 billion-won transaction, running from Aug. 1 to Oct. 31, is intended for securities-lending intermediation, according to a bourse filing on Tuesday.
The borrowing terms will be set through bidding, with the highest offered rate selected, while other conditions follow the Korea Securities Depository's lending rules.
As of July 3, the outstanding balance of securities borrowed from the affiliate stood at 108.1 billion won.
