Samsung to Invest KRW240 Billion in Gwangju HVAC Production Line for Fläkt Group

Samsung Electronics (KRX:005930) will invest 240 billion won to build a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) production line at the 3rd Campus of its Gwangju plant in South Jeolla Province, according to a statement on Monday.

The new line, set to begin full-scale operation in early 2028, will serve as Fläkt Group's 15th global production base and a key hub for air conditioning demand from AI data centers, advanced manufacturing facilities, and large commercial buildings in Korea and East Asia.

It will produce critical cooling and central air conditioning equipment including Coolant Distribution Units (CDU), Fan Wall Units (FWU), Computer Room Air Handlers (CRAH), and Air Handling Units (AHU).

Samsung plans to use the facility to strengthen its global HVAC production capabilities and build an integrated system linking product development, production, installation, and maintenance to respond quickly to customer needs.

Eternity Investment (HKG:0764) unit Eternity Finance and executive director Lei Hong Wai agreed to sell around 169 million and 18.7 million respective shares in China Healthwise (HKG:0348).The shares, representing an 18.3% and 2% stake in China Healthwise, respectively, were sold to Hwa Sheng International Investment at HK$0.08 apiece, a Friday bourse filing showed.The company will receive a consideration of around HK$13.5 million from the disposal and cease to hold any stake in China Healthwise following completion.Proceeds will be used to repay a margin loan, as well as for general working capital.
