Samaiden Group (KLSE:SAMAIDEN) said its unit Samaiden Legasi Timur started full-scale construction of its Large Scale Solar 5 (LSS5) project in Pasir Mas, Kelantan, in Malaysia.
The project, awarded under Malaysia's LSS5 programme in December 2024, comprises a 99.99-megawatt alternating current (MWac) solar photovoltaic facility on a 162-hectare site leased from Perbadanan Kemajuan Iktisad Negeri Kelantan.
It has secured a power purchase agreement with Tenaga Nasional (KLSE:TENAGA), financing from Bank Islam Malaysia, and the required regulatory approvals, the company said in a statement.
