RUA Gold (NZE:RGI) received the required regulatory approval to begin exploration drilling at its Glamorgan epithermal gold project in New Zealand's Hauraki Goldfield, according to a Wednesday filing with the New Zealand bourse.
The company intends to launch a fully funded 9,000-meter initial drilling program in the fourth quarter, with exploration focused on the Sutcliff, Wires Ridge, and Tairua prospects from nine approved drill pads, per the filing.
The company noted that exploration over the past two years identified significant gold, arsenic, and silver anomalies, extensive alteration zones, and deep resistive structures indicative of a major epithermal gold-silver system.
Construction of protective fencing, exploration camps, and drill pads will begin immediately after the completion of ecological checks, the filing added.
