RUA Gold (NZE:RGI) has secured approval for its Auld Creek Project in New Zealand's Reefton Goldfield to proceed through the Fast Track Approvals Act referral process, according to a Friday filing with the New Zealand bourse.
The company is developing a comprehensive application for mining permits, environmental clearances, water-use authorizations, and other regulatory approvals, with submission planned for the fourth quarter, per the filing.
The project could be fully permitted by mid-2027 following successful approval, enabling early works to begin, the filing said.
The company is advancing a preliminary feasibility study for an underground mine expected to operate for eight years, create 200 jobs, contribute NZ$240 million to the regional economy, and support a future processing hub, the filing added.
