Rua Gold (NZE:RGI) filed the preliminary economic assessment of the Auld Creek project in the South Island, New Zealand, according to a Monday filing with the New Zealand bourse.
Assessment suggests the deposit could sustain a "modest" underground mining operation using selective mining methods suitable for the narrow-vein geometry of the mineralization, the filing said.
The company plans to start a pre-feasibility study for the project with the goal of starting production in 2027, per the filing.
Shares rose 1% in midday trade on Monday.
