Rua Gold (NZE:RGI) continued to confirm "significant" potential to expand the gold-antimony resource at its Auld Creek project in South Island, New Zealand, according to a Friday filing with the New Zealand bourse.
Recent drilling intersected 2.3 meters at 3.5 grams per tonne gold equivalent from 227 meters, 2.7 meters at 7.6 g/t gold equivalent from 269 meters, and 0.9 meters at 6.4 g/t grade of gold from 77 meters, the filing said.
Geotechnical, hydrogeological, and metallurgical studies are in progress to support the pre-feasibility study and planned fast-track mining application expected in the fourth quarter of the year, per the filing.
