RTX's (RTX) Raytheon unit won a $745 million contract from the Missile Defense Agency to produce and maintain Standard Missile-3 Block IIA interceptors, the company said Monday.
The SM-3 IIA was developed jointly by Raytheon and Japanese industry and is designed to defend against short- to intermediate-range ballistic missile threats, the company said.
