RTX's Collins Aerospace, ST Engineering Sign Aircraft Component Support Agreements

RTX's (RTX) Collins Aerospace unit signed three multi-year agreements with ST Engineering's Commercial Aerospace business to expand aircraft component repair and spare parts support for airline operators, the companies said Wednesday.

Under the agreements, ST Engineering will repair Collins fan assembly electronics boards used on Boeing's (BA) 787 aircraft and buy additional Collins spare parts for its component maintenance, repair and overhaul operations.

The companies also extended their collaboration on component repairs for Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 family aircraft through Collins' FlightSense aftermarket support program, according to a statement.

Spire Global Wins $33.2 Million NOAA Contract for Satellite Weather Data

Spire Global (SPIR) won a $33.2 million contract from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to deliver global navigation satellite system radio occultation data to enhance weather forecasting.The data will feed NOAA's prediction models and support weather forecasting, space weather applications, and research by scientific organizations, Spire said Tuesday in a statement.The two-year contract, which starts Dec. 1, includes additional unfunded surge-buy options that may raise the total value to $66 million if fully exercised, the company said.Spire shares rose 2.2% in after-hours trading.
