RTX (RTX) unit Collins Aerospace and Etihad Airways Engineering agreed to form a joint venture that will provide aircraft maintenance services in Abu Dhabi.
The venture will handle engine-cover and braking-system repairs, along with support services, for Airbus A350 and Boeing 787 aircraft flown by regional and international carriers, the companies said Tuesday in a statement.
Collins will move its existing operations in the United Arab Emirates to Etihad Engineering's aviation-maintenance center near Zayed International Airport, doubling its presence in the Middle East under the agreement, the statement said.
The new 3,250-square-meter facility is expected to begin operations in Q1 2027 and will become part of Collins' global aircraft-support network, the statement said.
