Royal Philips (PHG) has won an award of up to $33.7 million from the US Department of Health and Human Services to advance artificial intelligence-enabled robotic procedure automation for stroke care, the company said Wednesday.
The award was given under the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health, an agency within the department's Autonomous Interventions and Robotics program, according to a statement.
Royal Philips said it will work with Johns Hopkins University, Boston University, and Dr. J Mocco of Weill Cornell Medicine to develop technologies for remote-assisted and automated endovascular procedures.
