Romania's state-controlled Romgaz produced 2.40 billion cubic meters of natural gas in H1, down 3.4% from the same period a year earlier, it said in its earnings report on Friday, despite a 3% rise in natural gas consumption nationally in that period, resulting in a loss of market share.
Power production plummeted 47% to 182.0 gigawatt-hours, down by 159.5 GWh from H1, 2025, the company said, attributing this to technical problems at its power plant which forced it to buy power supplies from other providers.
Production of condensate in H1 rose by 10.3% year on year to 27,782 metric tons compared with H1, 2025's 25,185 metric tonnes, the earnings report said.
