Rocket Lab Secures Three-Launch Deal With Japan-Based iQPS; Shares Rise

Rocket Lab (RKLB) said Thursday it signed an agreement with Japan-based iQPS, or Institute for Q-shu Pioneers of Space, for three launches on its orbital rocket Electron.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The missions are scheduled to begin in late 2027, with each launch deploying one QPS-SAR satellite into a 575-kilometer low Earth orbit that will continue the build out of iQPS' constellation.

Rocket Lab shares were more than 7% higher in Thursday trading.
