Rivertree STF Synergies Lands MYR168 Million Turnkey Construction Contract

Rivertree STF Synergies (KLSE:RSSB) has secured a 168.1 million Malaysian ringgit turnkey contract to build a 9,000-bed centralized labour quarters facility in Kapar, Klang, according to a Wednesday filing to the Bursa Malaysia.

The company's wholly owned subsidiary, RSSB Builders, was awarded the contract by Asetvest for the designing, planning, engineering, procurement, and construction of the facility.

The project is part of a larger plan to develop up to four centralized labor quarters with a combined capacity of 28,800 beds at an indicative value of 600 million ringgits.

The project is expected to hit practical completion by June 30, 2028, with full completion and certification expected by Dec. 31, 2028.

The contract is expected to contribute positively to Rivertree STF's earnings from the financial year ending June 30, 2027, onwards.

The company's shares were down over 1% in Thursday's trade.

Unisplendour to Dilute Stake in Computer Unit to 29.4%; Shares Up 9%

Semiconductor company Unisplendour (SHE:000938) said it will dilute its stake in subsidiary Unisplendour Computer Technology amid a 440-million-yuan capital increase.Unisplendour will waive its pre-emptive subscription rights, reducing its stake to 29.42% from 51%, with the subsidiary exiting consolidation, according to a Thursday filing with the Shenzhen bourse.One of the five investors of the capital increase, Haichen Huicai, will acquire a 12% stake in Unisplendour Computer Technology from five existing shareholders before the implementation of the capital increase.Shares of Unisplendour jumped 9% in recent trade.
