Rigaku Holdings (TYO:268A) reported an increase in the shareholding of Columbia Management Investment Advisers and joint holder Threadneedle Asset Management in the company to 10.53% as of July 31, from 9.38% as of June 30.
The investors' voting rights increased to 238,287 from 212,347, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Tuesday.
With the increase, the joint investors became principal shareholders of the X-ray analytical equipment manufacturer.
Shares of the company jumped nearly 8% in Wednesday's afternoon trade.
