Revolution Medicines' Rasonque Launch Seen as Rapid, RBC Says

By

Revolution Medicines' (RVMD) Rasonque tablets for the treatment of metastatic pancreatic cancer could see a "rapid launch," driven by patient and physician interest amid a lack of alternative therapies, RBC Capital Markets said in a Wednesday note.

The drug's pricing of $39,800 for a 30-day supply was above RBC's expectations, while payer friction is expected to be minimal, the brokerage said. RBC also expects Rasonque's "aggressive" adoption given its positive data and high awareness among doctors and patients, among others.

RBC projects strong Rasonque revenue in Q3 and Q4, estimating $249 million in US sales in 2026, according to the note.

The investment firm also said the drug's label language could provide flexibility for some patients to receive Rasonque in the frontline setting, despite the lack of a formal first-line approval.

RBC raised its price target on Revolution Medicines to $251 from $203, with an outperform rating.
