Renesas Electronics (TYO:6723) booked a profit attributable to owners of parent of 217.3 billion yen in the first half, reversing a loss of 175.3 billion yen a year earlier.
The chipmaker's earnings per share were 117.47 yen, compared with a loss per share of 97.34 yen a year earlier, according to a Friday Japan Exchange filing.
Revenue increased 26% to 798.7 billion yen from 634.3 billion yen a year earlier.
For the nine months ending Sept. 30, 2026, Renesas forecasts non-GAAP revenue of 1.200 trillion yen to 1.215 trillion yen, representing year-over-year growth of 24% to 26%.
