Reliance, Rolls-Royce Tie Up to Develop Combat Engine for India's Fighter Jets

Reliance Industries (NSE:RELIANCE, BOM:500325) and Rolls-Royce have expressed their intent to jointly develop an indigenous combat engine for India's Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) program, according to a statement issued on Friday.

The companies will explore the formation of a dedicated aerospace gas turbine complex focused on power and propulsion technology in India.

The proposed tie-up will combine Rolls-Royce's expertise in engines with Reliance's technology, manufacturing and execution capabilities.

The partnership aims to establish end-to-end Indian capability covering engine design, development, manufacturing, testing, production and through-life support.
