Recruit Holdings (TYO:6098) posted a 68% year-over-year rise in attributable profit for the fiscal first quarter to 202.6 billion yen from 120.9 billion yen.
Basic EPS was 145.48 yen, compared with 83.97 yen a year earlier, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Friday.
Revenue rose 19% to 1.045 trillion yen from 878.8 billion yen for the three months ended June 30.
The human resources technology company raised its full-year attributable profit forecast to 543.0 billion yen from 447.0 billion yen, basic EPS to 543 yen from 447 yen and revenue to 4.230 trillion yen from 4.030 trillion yen.
The revision stemmed from a faster-than-expected progress in the monetization development and operational efficiency of the company's HR Technology unit.
Shares of the company rose more than 2% in recent trade.
