Rakuten Bank (TYO:5838) posted a 25% year-over-year increase in profit attributable to owners of parent for the fiscal first quarter to nearly 21 billion yen from 16.8 billion yen.
The bank's profit per share stood at 119.96 yen, compared with 96.35 yen a year earlier, according to a Tokyo Stock Exchange filing on Thursday.
Ordinary income rose 36% to 78.4 billion yen for the three months ended June 30 from 57.5 billion yen a year earlier.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2027, Rakuten Bank expects ordinary income of 343.5 billion yen, profit attributable to owners of parent of 88.1 billion yen and EPS of 505.10 yen.
The company does not plan to pay dividends for the current fiscal year, unchanged from the prior year.
