Rail Vikas Nigam (NSE:RVNL, BOM:542649) emerged as the lowest bidder for a railway electrification project worth 1.29 billion Indian rupees from North Eastern Railway, according to an Indian bourse filing on Wednesday.
Shares of the company rose over 1% in Thursday's trade.
The project involves the design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of traction substations and associated switching posts in the Varanasi-Prayagraj section under engineering, procurement and construction mode, the filing said.
The project is scheduled to be executed within 730 days.
