Rail Vikas Nigam (NSE:RVNL, BOM:542649) emerged as the lowest bidder for a railway signaling project from East Coast Railway, according to an Indian bourse filing on Wednesday.
Shares of the company rose nearly 1% in Thursday's trade.
The project, valued at about 1.64 billion rupees, involves the provision of multi-section digital axle counter systems to improve reliability in the KUR division of East Coast Railway, the filing said.
The order is scheduled to be executed within 18 months.
