Radiant Opto-Electronics Unit Completes Cash Capital Reduction

Radiant Opto-Electronics (TPE:6176) unit Radiant Opto-Electronics (Hong Kong) completed registration for a cash capital reduction, according to a Monday Taiwan Exchange filing.

Shares of the backlight module manufacturer were up nearly 2% in Tuesday afternoon trading.

The subsidiary's paid-in capital was reduced to $133.4 million from $190.5 million, with outstanding shares declining to 133.4 million from 190.5 million.

Following the capital reduction, net worth per share increased to 15.52 yuan from 10.86 yuan, based on the subsidiary's first-quarter consolidated financial statements reviewed by independent auditors.
