Nasdaq-listed chipmaker, Qualcomm, has plans to transform Vietnam into the third-largest AI research and development center, Chief Executive Cristiano Amon said, during a meeting with General Secretary and President To Lam, according to the Vietnam Government Portal on Friday.
The chipmaker seeks to enhance cooperation across AI, semiconductors, 5G and 6G, along with connected computing and next-generation technology infrastructure.
The company is also aiming to deep its market presence by further consolidating relationships with local agencies, business, research institutes and universities.
