Qantas Airways (ASX:QAN) shares rose more than 1% in recent Friday trade after the company said Thursday it struck a partnership allowing its frequent flyer members to book classic reward seats across the entire Philippine Airlines network.
The collaboration gives Qantas frequent flyers greater access to North America, the Middle East, and 15 new island destinations via Manila.
Philippine Airlines operates 22 weekly flights between Australia and Manila, including daily service from Sydney and Brisbane, the statement said.
