Indonesian coal miner PT Bayan Resources lifted its force majeure declaration on coal supply contracts on Thursday after securing long-awaited approval for its revised 2026 production quotas from the government.
The company and three of its key operating subsidiaries, which had invoked force majeure last week due to pending administrative reviews of their mining plans, obtained their official quota revisions on September 23.
With the regulatory bottlenecks cleared, management expects the affected production units to resume normal operations shortly.
